- Vegetable Juice: A Simple & Practical Guide (DIY+Quick Tips)
Confessions of a Not-So-Vegetable Juice Lover
I love my vegetable juice.
Well… that’s a lie.
Confession time, folks: I don’t love vegetable juice or green juice, for that matter. I’m not going to pretend it’s my favorite thing in the world, but here’s the kicker – I drink it anyway. Why? Because it’s good for you. Plain and simple.
The Truth About My “Recipe”
Let me start by saying I’m not out here following any fancy, influencer-level recipe. Who has the time to measure every ingredient to perfection, anyway? My method is simple, practical, and honestly… a little chaotic.
Most importantly, it’s packed with essential nutrients, and I’ve even got a secret ingredient that does wonders for your skin.
Intrigued? Good, because this is about to get real.
The “Whatever’s in the Fridge” Method
Here’s the deal: I just grab whatever veggies I have on hand – keeping it simple makes it easier to stick with the routine. That’s why I’m not giving you a strict recipe or ingredient list. If it’s edible and juicable, it’s fair game: celery, cucumber, spinach, kale, carrots, tomatoes, beets – you name it. Want a little sweetness? Toss in an apple. I usually skip it, though – not a fan of the extra sugar, and let’s be honest, I’m probably out of apples anyway!
Grocery Store Chic
If you’re picturing me harvesting fresh veggies from my garden every morning like Martha Stewart, let me stop you right there. No, these veggies came from the grocery store, and they’ve been chilling in my fridge for a few days. But hey, shoutout to Martha – she’s a legend and one of my role models. Maybe one day I’ll have a garden as fabulous as hers.
Juicing 101
Back to the juice! I chop up the veggies and toss them into a cold press juicer. If you don’t have a cold press juicer, no worries. A regular blender works just fine, though you might need to strain it afterward. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous (or lazy), skip the straining and enjoy all that pulpy goodness. It saves time, and the extra fiber is fantastic for your gut and waistline.
- Wide 5.4-inch feed chute: Accommodates whole fruits and vegetables, eliminating the need for chopping.
- Nutrient preservation: Prevents heat generation and oxidation, ensuring maximum nutrient retention.
- Higher juice yield: Extracts up to 30% more flavorful juice compared to other models.
The Magic Add-Ons
Once my vegetable juice is ready, I give it an upgrade. I mix in an organic powdered berry and veggie blend that’s loaded with nutrients you can’t always find fresh or keep fresh.
If you’re short on time, you could skip the juicing altogether and just mix a scoop of this powder(s) with water. It’s quick, full of probiotics, and – bonus – it actually tastes pretty good.

The Secret Ingredient: Marine Collagen
Now for my secret ingredient: marine collagen. It’s easier for your body to absorb compared to bovine collagen, which comes from cow bones. If you’re vegan, no worries – there are plant-based collagen options out there for you.
A quick heads-up about collagen: it’s tricky. It doesn’t mix well and can get a bit lumpy, but trust me, it’s worth it. Your skin will thank you. I usually use a stirrer to mix it in, but you can also toss it back in the blender if you want it smoother.

What Do We Call This?
So, there you have it my not-so-glamorous but totally practical and nutritious vegetable juice routine. Wait… can I even call it vegetable juice now that I’ve added marine collagen? Honestly, I have no idea what to call it at this point. If you’ve got any creative names for this concoction, drop them in the comments!
Cheers to Health (and Messes)
Despite its average taste (or maybe better than average – taste is in the tongue of the drinker, right?), I always feel refreshed and energized after drinking this juice. And that’s a win because I’ll need that energy. Someone has to clean this kitchen, and let’s be real – unlike Martha Stewart or Mr. Beast, I don’t have a cleanup crew. It’s just me, my juicer, and this magnificent mess.
Well, I’ve got to go. The kitchen isn’t going to clean itself! See you next time, and here’s to health, happiness, and a whole lot of veggies!
